 aptain Marden’s was
begun by my father, Master Mariner Captain Roy Wilfred
Marden, in 1945 as a single retail store west of
Boston. His mission was simple… offer the very best
seafood in town.
Since then, Captain Marden’s has grown to include over
ninety
employees, a
restaurant and takeout shop open 7 days a week, a line
of exquisite frozen entrées, a fleet of over
twenty-five trucks, coast-to-coast shipping, and
Boston’s most highly-respected wholesale operation.
Over the years, however, one thing has remained constant: our
genuine (and some say obsessive) commitment to
quality, freshness, and simplicity. They are what
continue to earn us our reputation as “simply the
best” when it comes to New England seafood.
Today, Captain Marden’s
remains a family-owned and -operated business, with my
son, daughter, nephew and I all involved in various
aspects of the business. History and tradition have
kept Captain Marden’s on the right track thus far, and
will continue to do so into the future—whether at
The
Captain’s Table and TakeAway; in our Wellesley,
Massachusetts
retail store; on the menus of the
area’s finest restaurants; in your
local supermarket; or now,
online.
